Tahoe, North and South Shore

Tahoe is a beautiful destination any time of the year and has something to offer to everyone.  It is the perfect destination for couples, families and groups of friends.  There are water and snow activities, biking, hiking, camping, golfing (also the Celebrity Golf Tournament), shopping, concerts, gambling, and spa treatments.  Taking the gondola to the top always proves to be a good time...don't forget to grab a Bloody Mary and the Lodge Bar.   The food choices throughout the Tahoe area are endless and range from burgers and pizza to 5 star experiences.  

We have enjoyed: Heidi's Pancake House, Izabella Ristorante, Lucky Beaver, Azul Latin Kitchen, Base Camp Pizza, Sage Room, Gar Woods, Social House (check out their Speakeasy...shhh), Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen, and  The Beacon Bar and Grill.  

Spend a day driving around the lake to visually appreciate its enormity.  There are places to stop and check-out on your journey.  Spend a day on the lake.  Bring a towel and a chair to just kick back and relax or maybe rent a boat or paddle board to cruise around.  There are several great hiking paths and lots of bike trails.  There are 3 main casinos in the South Shore area and a handful of smaller ones for those who enjoy gambling.  We usually stay at the Marriott Timberlodge or the Marriott Grand Residence.  (Check out my current reservations list).
